Matt & Mallory were a fun couple that met at Virginia Tech. Hokie Pride was in full force at this lively, September wedding in Norfolk, Virginia.
Robyn & Chris said their I Do’s at the Comus Inn at Sugarloaf Mountain. A beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding.
On the same awesome weekend, Giselle & Eric tied the knot at Khimaira Farm in Luray, Virginia. This might have been the most scenic location I’ve ever shot, and the couple couldn’t have been lovelier.
“Mazel Tov!” It was my first Jewish wedding, and Washington, DC was the perfect place to celebrate the union of Kelly and Steve. From the signing of the Ketuba, all the way till the Hora - a lovely and lively affair!
The following week, my wife and I headed to St. Louis for the wedding of her best friend. On the night before their wedding, Cara and Scott celebrated the St. Louis Cardinals winning the World Series – so… that was pretty cool. The wedding was beautiful and It was an honor to be apart of this special occasion.
2011 was my busiest year to date – 2012 would be even busier!
I was a small, family wedding in Virginia Beach for Jenn & Michael. That didn’t stop this resourceful couple from having all of their big wedding moments captured on video. It was a great day, with a great family!
Kira & Nate tied the knot at Grey Rock Mansion in Pikesville, Maryland. Great wedding – lots of dancing & fun – with a super nice couple, family, & friends.
Spent a June saturday capturing the union of Carter and Adam in Fredicksburg, Virginia. A reception under a tent in mid September is always a good thing – add cocktails, a superb rhythm & blues band, and a lot of good people – you got one heck’uv a party.
Morgan and Will are a very unique couple – smart, funny, & one of a kind. The good-humored nature of the bride & groom, along with the jocularity of their friends & family, made this wedding one of my favorites.
Next up, Fall 2011!
Jenny & JP got married at the bride’s workplace, Bridgewater College. The campus was a great place for a wedding, with the chapel in walking distance to the dinning hall – a perfect opportunity for a butterfly release to welcome the newly married couple into their reception.
I hit it off with Diane & Mark the first moment I met them. They were such a friendly couple that were very excited to be married. Mark is a very big Chicago Bears fan, and I find it sweet that Diane embraced the idea of entering their reception to the Monday Night Football theme.
Samira & Drew had two ceremonies – East & West. A traditional Persian ceremony at Samira’s Parents’ house, then on to the Bretton Woods Club for the wedding traditions of the western world. No matter what the differences the two hemispheres have regarding ceremony traditions, their receptions share many similarities – dancing, fun, & happiness!
A busy May & June for me in 2011. More Summer weddings were in store - including my first wedding on the beach!
Leslie & Shane tied the knot at the lovely Lesner Inn in Virginia Beach.
It’s been a very cold winter this year in Hampton Roads, but this February day was just right for a beautiful wedding.
Congrats to the happy new couple!
Leslie & Shane – married on February 9th, 2014.
